I wouldn't call the G-class a novelty. I do like the fact it has stayed true to its origins though. It doesn't try to be aerodynamic or to be fashionable. I quite like it. Sure it is not as comfortable but it is built like a tank and will last a life time, something I wouldn't say of the L405. |

Maybe the 2.0L 16V TIVCT T/C 240PS petrol engine could find its way under the L405's bonnet, with an electric powertrain...

The new four-cylinder was always going to be in the Sport. Car magazine quoted someone from JLR as saying it hadn't been ruled out for the proper one, but I can't really see it.
