just read your post again, you do have your foot on the brake when you select drive or reverse dont you..

Yea foot on the brake as I select drive , my tick over is a little less than that , |

With surging it could be sticky injectors I suggest you try a can of PREMIUM Injector cleaner like BG244 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BG244-BG-244-Pro...1173617951 |

Have checked idle rpm , it's sitting at 750 , just done a little test , if I let it rev when it's surging , it revs up to around 1300 then it will come back down ,,

sometimes in these situations you need to plug in a diagnostic tool to get the info where the fault is.. ... - .- -.
