What are the chances, that programme was filmed last year, aired last night and that guy I was talking about, Paul Bailey, drove past me today in the very same car that he was picking up on the TV box? Discovery 4 HSE

As good as some of it was to watch, I do think that the brand is in danger of being devalued.

A younger sporting model like the Wraith coupled with some of the creations shown last night are really not great for the overall image of the brand, in my humble opinion of course... 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

Interesting programme but if I won the lottery I wouldn't be buying one - although top quality I just don't like them. Some of the colour schemes looked awful but I guess if the customer wants the customer gets. I've seen some of the customer requests on the boats we build and money certainly doesn't buy taste Shocked

I'd much rather have a new L405 LWB with ALL the toys. Discovery 4 HSE

I saw some of it... it's obvious, that the British, have great pride in their car history, and people remember that. the name Rolls Royce is a brand much remembered for true quality, from the ultimate car, the 100yr old Silver Ghost and the 1930's Bentley Boys era. Later, in the 1970's more of these cars were available to successful people, although these cars were built often with typical problems af all 1970's era cars, and the name dwindled.
There is now a world car market, and it is very all encompassing, with different tastes, and desires. people come to buy so fondly favoured, 'British' named cars, for that brand, often personalising them, to suit their oppulance. these makers, (Land Rover included) have to cater for this world market, thus we see gold plated sports cars, matt black Bentleys, and if someone wishes to buy the most exclusive model then, its only built only because there is a demand for it.
it does seem sad that we are thrilled by diamonds on the dashboard, but then, I have seen diamond encrusted iphones, watches, teeth, you name it, someone has it. because they can have what they want, and the companies making them, are making money from it.

but yes, nice, but to me, it's just nice to see the workmanship, not the driver, wafting it around.

will we see fake stick on diamonds for the wanna-be millionaires? on ebay?

RRUK & Full Fat Ray - agreed. The new LWB up in the L405 section looks good to me! Thumbs Up

Overall it was very interesting and highly entertaining.

I was disappointed by the comments that 'it was the car to be seen in' and 'I want my Wraith to be better than anyone else's'. There are some very shallow people out there. Whistle

I got my FFRR because I LIKE the car. I like the way it looks and drives. I like that it can go almost anywhere. I didn't get it to impress people. Roll Royces are lovely cars. Buy them because they are lovely cars!

End of rant.

Never liked them. Didn't Jimmy Saville have one?

The red RR one guy bought for his birthday was awful. I liked the black wraith though. I heard BMW owned though and that concluded my thoughts!
