Thanks Stan that is the most helpful article I have read. I had checked the cable and plug to the gearbox but will check it again. Unfortunately the Hawkeye reading is accompanied with "fault no longer present"or "intermittent fault" I will also check the positive feeds to the ECU. I tried to get the nearest agent to check with their test equipment but they could only do it in 3 weeks time and as they are 300kms away and would not quote a price to connect their equipment to it, I gave up. |

Have you checked your "hi/low" transfer box motor is working? This also brings up the same dash message sir... |

Sounds like your torque converter is on the way out. The transmissions rarely give trouble in their own right, it normally is the debris from the torque converter breaking up which clogs the transmission valve chest and causes all sorts of grief. The electronics are alerting you to the fact the torque is slipping under load and overheating the transmission oil in the process. Drop you transmission and fit one of these...it will tow forever with very few problems afterwards http://www.roadblaster.com.au/pages/RANGE%...L40-E.html 2008 Range Rover TDV8 435,000kms 2015 Range Rover L405 SDV8 Autobiography 2008 Ford Focus1.6 tdci Titanium DPF deleted |
