England 2002 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Alveston Red
What's it worth

Hi guys
I'm afraid it's a what's it worth thread hope its in the right place. I have 2002 HSE in red it's in good condition but it was wrote of a year ago and repaired by myself it's a cat C. It was repaired by using new genuine inner wing panels and the bonnet wing and bumper were of another red car so a perfect match.

There is no service history for the last 4 years because I carried out the maintenance, the gearbox has had the valve block overhauled by Phil on here and the torque converter, gearbox cooler and pipes have been replaced, the oils and filter were also changed.

It is a lPG converterted car, the only known problem is the adjustable steering column does not work and hasn't since I baught it and the centre panel is pixilated, the dash is not.

I realise this is probably going to be the cheapest L322 in existence but what is it worth, or would I be better selling the engine and gearbox and scrapping the rest.

Thanks for the reply dolphin boy I hope your right but I have a feeling it's history will make it worth less.

Mileage would help! However if its average at 120k then its worth 5k private without the Cat C. I would say 3.5-4k with the CAT C but the market will be small...

Advertise it on the mainland. Cat C doesn't exist here, and as long as it has an MOT and is accepted by the insurance comp. it is not a problem.
Great color btw.
5, 6 k I think.

I am more with gaz's than Rob's estimate, a mate of mine bought a clean 4.4L V8 Vogue with full LR service history, autobox and diffs flushes, serviced for the sale, 63.000 genuine, documented, miles for £6.5K last summer

Cat C will limit market BUT selling oversea will relatively widen the market - not that you can hide it is a cat C but it does not appear in documents indeed. Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Also on the history, if you haven't marked it in the service book or somewhere else even when DIY'ing it limits the price as well Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

At that age and price, its all about using your eyes and instinct when buying a car... IMHO... If it warrants it, ask £4995 and be open to offers Thumbs Up

Does the CAT C cause any problems with insurance? What mileage is it? For £3.5k I'd snap it up - cheap shooting vehicle Very Happy

The lpg does add another 1000 imho. So 5750 seems a good start. Try www.carandclassic.co.uk
Good luck, btw I would also buy it 3.5 chawks Thumbs Up

LPG helps indeed, how would that work with selling on the mainland though, you'd need a certificate to try to homologate it.

Rob, you already have a RHD FF to sell on the mainland LOL Rolling with laughter Wink l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Thanks for the replies guys food for thought I think 3.5k is a little cheap. The LPG has a certificate and it's on the V5 as a duel fuel vehicle. The vehicle I'd insured with admiral who I was with when the accident happened and treated me very well. There is pics of it on here after the accident.

I will inquire about the dual fuel if you wish to sell in europe, as LR will not deliver a CoC with dual fuel. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l
