Upgrading seats

Is it possible to upgrade the seats of a 2006MY to that of a 2007+MY?

I ask as I'm finding it difficult to find a 4.2 supercharged with the newer interior, with reasonable mileage within my budget.

Thanks in advance for your help

There may be an issue with the fact they moved the airbags from the door pillars into the seats, therefore it might not be possible to :

a) wire them up as wiring loom may be different
b) ensure safety in the event of a crash if multiple airbags go off against each other?

The older BMW seats are nicer than the newer Lear seats so why bother ? 2008 MY Supercharged

Got to agree with axle. Many on the forum who've had early L322's and upgraded comment that the BMW seats are more comfortable as they have more adjustment due to the airbags being in the pillars Thumbs Up Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White

Yep the same here, 2002 has much better seats as a 2007. Have them both here.
