The TDV8 can be tuned, but the same cash gets you better throttle response, more power and faster acceleration in a SC. The TDV8 will always suffer from turbo lag, the SC doesn't. That minor difference is enough to keep the SC ahead whenever ...

I know the roads on Guernsey, expect to get horrific fuel consumption out of any petrol Range Rover on these roads - single figures trust me!

Oooooh I love starting arguments Whistle

Spoke to an Indy today and he advised the 3.6 TDV8 over the SC due to the fact, n his opinion, "the TDV8 can be tuned and would leave a SC standing" his words not mine before I am assassinated Mr. Green

Seriously seriously torn between the 2.

not the case at all. I've driven them back to back and the oil burner really can't pull off as fast or accelerate as quickly as the sc. there is also a spooling lag with the turbo unit. it does not feel as agile to drive because of the lack of responsiveness

You need balls of steel to be a passenger whilst you're driving ! Mr. Green

I'm a new owner of an SC and it is, without doubt, the best vehicle I've ever owned (and I've had in excess of 100 over the years), I promise you will not be disappointed Thumbs Up

Vogue, a lad I work with had a SC RRS and maximum he got on Guernseys roads was 9!!! Think I'm going to have to go thr 3.6 TDV8 route although wish I could stretch to a 4.4 I'd kiss the ground for the welcome sound of me mother sayin 'Hinny Howay'
