did the police 'find it' or was it abandoned and called in?

ANPR can auto' find it if still on same plates... were they still on car? having those different wheels made the car harder to blend in.
hopefully, no vandal damage etc.

my only dealings in this matter was an old golf convertible stolen, and found about a month later, and was told it was crushed as it had a broken window! it was a rare 'campaign' model too.
my FF had=s a tracker, fitted by previous owner. but I don't have it activated at present.

Excellent news about the recovery, shame about the keys, bit they can all be unprogrammed from the car and the locks can be swapped, under insurance.

And you can probably get that long scratch fixed as well  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
