I think that the car has to be VAT qualifying which might mean it has been a contract hire or lease car where the previous owner has claimed the VAT back, if so it is usually sold stating VAT qualifying with a VAT invoice. My RRS was ex contract hire and i was given a VAT invoice but can't claim it back because it is a car for personal use. Hope this helps.. |
