I remember reading about these a few months back. Like "findmyiphone" app, which works great.
Sounds like a brilliant idea, never lose car keys again?
Expensive, but cheaper than a new key Whistle Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Only real down side is the 1 year life - batteries are not replaceable

hiding one of these in a FF is a good idea in theory but you would need a lot of people with the app to get any kind of location of your stolen one..
