One reason I will prob want my son to start driving even a td6 or old xm as there is a lot of strength in those big old donks. Failing that I could settle on a Saab but that would be it. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

i have always favoured large cars, for this exact reason. I used to watch Jags and Ford Granada's go round and round the track, at the destruction derby, head-on time after time. they were the cars for me. however the no.1 banger car is the EARLY ford mondeo, extremely strong front...

I even 'chose' to be run over as a 4 yr old kid by a zephyr!

take a look at ten of the so called 'hardest banger racing hits'! you'd be hanging up your helmet after one of these 'ball shrinking' crashes.

I agree with your Teutonic logic. A lucky escape is great, but not being somewhere from which one needs to escape beats it in my book.

Back to the OP, Shocked that escape is incredible! Thumbs Up

Personally, I don't agree with pics such as this being put up on the wonderful "social media". Particularly by a professional from the emergency services - it's not appropriate. The driver may have been attempting to take thier own life, for example.
I've attended, investigated and dealt with many such incidents and certainly wouldn't have banded about somebody elses misfortune . . .
As for the car, since manufacturers started using higher strength materials, all cars are pretty tough nowadays - even the tiddlers !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

The lorry hasn't moved though. The pic with the bits is the drivers side.

To me it looks like the ff was caught but a lorry moving out from inside lane to outside lane and the driver has tried to slam on but the lorry has still caught them OR the rangey driver moved into the danger zone due to not checking his surroundings.

Those trailer wheels are something like 100kg+ are they not so 3 of them would make mince out offer road going vehicles. I've seen what happens when a carcass breaks away from the rim and they hit things like a yaris. It's never good Sad

To be honest I'm in favour the services publicly showing what accidents they go to. It makes people caught up in jams understand and the general public more aware how weak cars really are in the real world, and tends to make them more aware if even only for a short time. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
