Cold start

Hi every one,my 2005 sc is playing up for a while now when starting on cold mornings she starts to run a bit rough sounds as if not running on all cylinders when she warms up she's fine. Some times I get the engine management failure on dash when this happens she is low on power I switch off and on again and it will run ok again. Just had new spark plugs fitted yesterday but did not fix. Can anyone HELP.

Not got an SC myself, but if the engine management light has been on, there should be a fault logged.

If it was me I'd get the fault read with a diagnostic tool.

Good luck with finding your issue.

I'm sure more SC knowledgeable people will be along shortly......

Could be a coil pack failing...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

The fault will be logged on the engine managements system. The cluster won't show it to you. You will need to get a garage to plug a diagnostic tool into it and read the faults off.

You may find it more cost effective to buy a diagnostic tool yourself ? Depends whether you may want to do some diagnosis yourself and how long you plan on keeping the car etc. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Could be worse.

You will be able to go from there then.

Let us know the outcome.

Others may have more ideas, but that's where I'd start.

Did you find a solution as my SC has developed a similar fault.

Starts fine in warm weather, but now winter has come, when I flick the key, it starts then dies within a few seconds.

If I give it some throttle when I start it, I can often keep it going until it picks up. This usually takes a few seconds of rough running and then is fine.

Suggests that it is a fuel problem to me.

Any thoughts?

Regards.
