Car ads that have a video that is just a video of the pictures in the ad. Why do they bother doing this - it adds absolutely no value at all - in fact, it's just annoying?

A VIDEO is fine. A bunch of still photos pretending to be a video is less useful that having the stills you can advance at your own speed.
