Tyre mismatch

Advice from the collective required.

After picking up my SE last week I noticed that it has one Prielli Scorp, on the OSR and Contis on the other corners.

I'm SURE that before I picked it up it had all Scorps on. (I mentioned it to my OH at the time because my bike also runs Pirelli Scorpions.)

I've contacted the dealer who has asked me to get quotes from local tyre dealers "to sort them out".

Which is the best way to go? replace the PS with a Conti? All four tyres are fairly new.

I've heard Pirelli's are great. Do some research on the internet such as reviews etc.

Said it before and I will say it again...

I DON'T THINK THE CONTINENTAL TYRES ARE ANY GOOD BECAUSE THE OUTSIDE EDGES WEAR OUT WITHIN A FEW MONTHS MAKING THEM LOOK KNACKERED (STILL LOADS OF TREAD ON REST OF TYRE) - AT £250+ A CORNER THEY SHOULD LAST LONGER - I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 5 x TYRES IN 18 MONTHS / 20000 MILES BECAUSE OF WEAR ON THE EDGE - EACH TIME A TYRE HAS BEEN REPLACED THE PRESSURES, TRACKING & ALIGNMENT HAS ALSO BEEN CHECKED.

Evil or Very Mad

Also, I like your way of thinking skavitch - 3 x replacement tyres instead of 1 x replacement at dealers cost Wink

Get Pirellis fitted IF THEY ARE PAYING FOR THEM - they cannot be any worse than what I am using on mine.

A quick update on this.

The dealer has agreed to replace the one "different" tyre FOC.

As the current four nearly new, I'll put the odd Zero as a spare and have another Conti to keep them all the same, I think.

Thanks for the suggestions.
