Alternator packed up but fantastic Land Rover Assistance

First breakdown with my TDV8 last week whilst on a break in The Lake District. Broke down just north of Keswick. Called Land Rover Assistance through my Land Rover Warranty. Waited an hour and a half, but kept up to date by text and phone regularly. Gentleman arrived and diagnosed Alternator fault. Needed recovery. Decided to take me to Lloyd's of Carlisle. Arranged for a local recovery firm to come out. Waited another hour, but again, kept informed of progress. Recovered and taken to Lloyd's of Carlisle. Whilst en route, I received a call from Enterprise who were arranging the hire car as I needed to get back home the following day to Berkshire. They arranged to pick me up from the dealership. Arrived at Lloyd's of Carlisle and immediately seen by service. They informed me they will repair and replace the alternator and once completed, repatriate my car down to Berkshire, hopefully on the following Tuesday, this being Thursday. The Enterprise representative arrived and drove me to their location, where I took a hire car from them for a 48 hour period.

Although the breakdown had taken up most of the day, I can only heap praise on the Land Rover Assistance procedures and service. I am extremely happy I purchased my car from a main dealer with all the backup it offers. "Who took the jam out of your doughnut?"
