iPad RSE

I have tried several headrest iPad mounts over the last couple of years and I can't find one that I like. I have been researching the subject again and I would like to achieve something like this:-

Or this:-

This is the BMW aftermarket offering:-

My current favourite is the Mercedes Benz aftermarket offering:-

I am not interested in any integration.

Do you think it would be possible for a vehicle trimmer to modify the MB unit to make it look similar to the Bentley RSE?

I have an ivory interior so I would prefer the bracket that fits to the headrest to match the trim colour, I prefer the unit with the iPad in it to stay black, anybody know anything about painting plastic?

The Ultimate edition had them - not sure if you can buy the parts to retro fit -

I have seen this "revere" kit advertised on ebay. They claimed this is the only pair in the whole world, and I think they demanded 500 quids. Although I think someone with good skills could reproduce...

I have an L405 so I doubt the Ultimate Edition system would fit, plus I believe you have to provide a U.E VIN to order parts so they stay exclusive.

I would think someone with very little in the way of skill could re-produce better looking mounts then that! Shocked Sniggering

You would have thought so but I can't find anybody (in the northwest anyway).

Big Cry

With the cost of factory version being £2500 upwards and with limited capabilities there must be a good size market for this kind of product.

Thumbs Up

I guess most pay the £2.5K when ordering a £100k+ car?

Why can't you get the MB One if you like that and get a vehicle trimmer or leather type person to cover the plastic in leather ?

May be possible. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

But you don't get any of the capabilities a tablet (iPad in this case) will give you. I don't remember that last time I used a Bluray/DVD/CD. I/we download everything.

To give you an example, driving today I wanted to listen to a specific track and with iTunes Match I found it in my iTunes account and using 4G had it playing in under 30 seconds.

I'm quite torn - I can certainly see where you're coming from - I have RSE & it's been on maybe 3 times in 4 years - my kids just aren't interested & would rather use their iPads.

That said, IMHO none of the mounts look good - they all look like after thoughts, so might as well go with the very basic ones for a few quid off eBay.....

Mine just rest them on their knees - they are in cases all the time, so they wouldn't be bothered swapping them in and out - they are teenagers after all.....
