Ripping DVDs

I use Windows media player to rip CDs to my laptop and I have some DVDs I would also like to rip to the laptop. Can anyone suggest some free software that would allow me to rip and then playback DVDs without me ending up with loads of pop ups appearing.

Thanks 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

I use handbag to rip DVDs to my mac. Think it works on PC too, you will need a protection stripper as we'll such as vlc. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Did you mean handbrake?

http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php

I have used this for the last six years and it's brilliant, I have never had a problem with any DRM, just point and squirt.

For me..........

DVD Decrypter to a new folder on your c drive
Then point Handbrake at said folder and voila you have an MP4 file.
