Hi all, does anyone have any experience of home CCTV systems, maplin do a swan 4 camera system that can be viewed through the use of a app on your phone iPad etc.

Can anyone recommend one or have any experience of home CCTV

I have 6 cameras around my property but not the ones from Maplins I got them installed by the security company that I once used which have motion sensors as well during the course of having them installed I changed two of them to night vision cameras which do make a big difference on picture quality plus the rest of the house is floodlit with dusk to dawn sensors for the 6 sodium lights
Handy if you like watching foxes other than that never had any use for them

I have a 4 camera system from Maplins and I can view on my PC, Iphone and ipads..very good

I've got a system called Geovision - a card for a PC - mine takes 16 cameras and I have 12 installed.

Comes with software so you can set what gets recorded etc - you can exclude parts of the image from each camera (for trees etc) then set the remaining picture to record on motion detection.

Does remote monitoring on phone etc.

When you play it back, it shows all the cameras at the same time so you can see people moving around

Quite a neat system

I installed an 8 camera Robox system a couple of years ago.
Works great and can be accessed using the DMSS app for Ipad and Iphone. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Fitted a two discrete camera (Front and back) system after caught some youths round the FF
(So far just caught neighbour being a knob)
Works well stores several days on a HDD and has an IP address so I can view from anywhere
about £100 all in off the bay Mine was a blue one!

I bought a system from CCTV42 which is part of the 911Virgin business.. It's a 3 camera system and I'm very happy with it..
