I wonder if someone can help.

I have a tdv8 l322 2007.

A few months ago my car broke down on the motorway, engine ceased.after taking it to my local garage found out the left hand turbo failed.

After stripping the engine down we found out that the turbo oil seal leaked which sucked out the oil from the engine and throw it into the top end of the engine which resulted in having a cracked piston and and bend piston arm.

After great effort finally found a new piston and piston arm. My mechanic had to rebuild the top part of the engine which is now done and back in the car.

After all the it seems we have a MAJOR problem in getting hold of a TDV8 TIMING TOOL. to line the engine up.

We tried land rover they do not sell it, as they only have it for there own purposes.

Does anyone know of where I can get one/borrow one.

Obviously I will pay for the rental of one.

if it is such a specialist tool i would think you'd have a hard time getting someone to rent it out to you...good luck on your search..

How friendly are you with your local Main Agent service manager? Usually a large deposit helps

You may need to source from the Far East .... I don't know what the real one looks like, but this looks like the type of locking you would have for a v8 setup....
