Battery Light on

I'm thinking it might need a new alternator or battery (new battery still under warranty so that would be easier and cheaper) but its an early TDV8 (Jan 2007 so made in 2006) so the alternator failing seems inevitable.

Symptoms:
There is no screeching or wailing (other than me that is Big Cry )
however
For the very first time ever the battery warning light came on this morning but went off after a restart.
then
Suspension Lowered and stayed there.
after
Engine System failure message on start up.

Never has liked the FBH to be used Sad

Unless someone tells me different I'll charge it up and run it round to the Indy for a few checks, it's due a service and MOT anyway in March so near enough and I'm not excited about DIY in this weather Crying or Very sad

I did forget to lock it last night, maybe someone stole the volts Very Happy Geoff

I've got the big Bosch battery that some have difficulty fitting.

Like I said I'll run it down to the Indy later, as it's now booked in for a service tomorrow, so they can have a look and see what they think. I'll also get the Turbo hoses looked at while I'm at it and an MOT and I'll get online and tax it.

However you look at it i feel an expensive February coming on Very Happy Geoff

Sadly on the way to the Indy the battery light was intermittent and then on all the time coupled with a whining noise at low revs. I think I have found my problem - doh! Geoff
