Hi Stan,
Where are you taking the update capability from? If you are referring to the "•••• = Model Updated" on the bottom of P. 117 on the second brochure, I believe that just means "The diagnostic software has been updated for this model vehicle" and not "This diagnostic tool will update your ECUs SW".

Jammer, what ECU /system are you trying to update and why? AFAIK, the only diagnostic systems with the capability to flash updates to Land Rover ECUs are: LR OEM IDS/SDD, Autologic, BBS products, and our products.

Rage, if you don't mind my asking: approx how much was the Solus all in? Do you need it for other vehicle marques?

Did you see our IIDTool Pro announcement at the top of the tech section? I imagine the Solus is approx like a Hawkeye/Lynx (or slightly less) on Land Rovers - do you know? Compare to our Pro?

You can PM if you do not want to comment openly.

Just wanted to turn my nav on the move on, tried the code but it didn't work and someone said about firmware up date, plugged into my mates solus pro smornin, as I had three amber lights on litteraly on turnover then go straight out, showed as glow system and fuel metering thing, reset and we'll see what happends, gotta admit I am tempted with the iidtool but I'm terrible for changing my cars and don't really want to fork out for one then have to sell it really, I would only want to do a few minor things like key in ingnition beep off, fold mirrors on lock, possibly sort nav on move and I don't really know what else

It has full diagnostics for all models
You can do live diagnostics on the go
You can alter quite a few settings
You can also test individual items and sensors
Not as good as your tool for the range rover for changing settings etc
Cost wise £4k with 1 years updates
This covers all models from year dot to present
Son has his own garage so it's worth it
For every day DIY it's too much
I'll probably buy an iid tool for my rangey though Growing old is compulsory Growing up is optional

Has anyone seen the video I posted? Had my tires fitted and tracking done today, went to rugby then home then popped to shop, came out to the rr unlocked tried starting but it didn't fire, still got those lights coming up, tried again a few times, locked and unlocked, had a message come up, air susp inactive, battery light on and oil light, tried locking and starting etc rang the mrs to come and get me, turned up and I thought I'd try one last time and it started up! Weird?!!!
