It always amazes me how over-reacting and adrenalin-fuelled a police officer becomes when asking someone to leave their vehicle, and countless times on tv, we see drivers chased and then ceremoniously dragged through the window like a corpse. they often don't stop shouting the same thing over and over. I of course realise that in exceptions like the Woolwich slaughter, that this is correct etc. but these days, you almost have to be sure that whoever is stopping you, is in fact an actual policeman. as it wouldn't take much for any Herbert to create a scenario like this and make off in an expensive car, with you laying on your belly, cuffed up with a large cable tie around your wrists.
Once I had the misfortune of being 'chased' in a 30mph zone, and the guy jumped out of his panda, and before I knew it he had wrenched my keys from the ignition, and snapped it off with car still running saying 'stop the car' over and over. he said I was speeding, (not true) no action taken etc. it was quite exciting to anyone watching, especially as I tripped over the old style seat belt when exiting the car! a quick blow in the bag, and I was off on my way home.
Don't even get me started on their sarcastic comments about my driving.
As for that payout, what has the world come to! the police and hospitals are just 'swimming pool' sized bank accounts, that 'victims' can just fill a bag up with money, and walk away from!
