United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Java Black

Morning All,
2002 silver vogue 4.4v8, L322 owner in Nottignham. I have had the car about six months. So far I have taken the instruments out and done the LCD fix, fitted new front disks and pads, dismantled the transfer box motor to fix it by cleaning the pot', changed the connector on the amp in the boot due to water corrosion (only left rear speakers not working properly now), had a gearbox rebuild (I didn't do that one myself), and fitted a 110Ah battery. I recently bought an IID tool to clear an air suspension fault caused by the flat battery. So all pretty normal stuff Very Happy

I'm doing a couple of other bits now which I will post about soon.

MC

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Newbie

Morning All

Just happened to come across this site and looks to me like it's the best one going Thumbs Up

Anyway just wanted to introduce myself, I have a 2007 TDV8 FFRR Autobiography in Stonoway Grey. I have her just over a year and she is my first. I have to say I've had a few issues, but I don't care I love the car!

I've had the following done under warranty:

nearside and offside upper ball joints
Both EGR valves
New alternator

I had to buy the battery as carplan wouldn't cover it when the alternator failed, needless to say I was Censored Evil or Very Mad as it cost £256!

Anyway, I have a small job today over the next few days, a new rear PDC, I have to key, prime, paint and lacquer it, then fit. Some inconsiderate idiot on a mobile phone txting while we were in a que, hit me!! No damage to the bumper, but on arrival at my destination I found the PDC was busted! So I've had the bumper off and checked the sensor and the plug was snapped. So rather than pay £75 +VAT and another £50 + VAT for RR to do it, I got a non gen sensor and bought the paint to do it myself for under £50.

I'll post results when I've done it! Fingers crossed!

Thanks!

WallTang

Tell me about it!! As it was in the main stealers getting the Alternator done under the warranty, they called to say that it failed the 'Battery' test and needed a new one fitted. I asked them to simply charge it, but they were having none of it and said it wasn't their 'Policy' to charge batteries and they couldn't guarantee their work with a failed battery. So basically they had me over a barrel.

The thing that really wound me up, was that I actually broke down travelling back from Cardiff, and it was recovered to the main dealer (Mentioning no dealer names here) and they had it for, wait for it.......... 7 whole days to do the alternator! I was flabbergast by the length of time they took to do it. On questioning, they got the car Wednesday morning and didn't even look at it until Friday afternoon! I paid my money for the battery like a mug on the following Wednesday when I picked it up, and they brought it around and guess what, it wasn't even cleaned. I was so shocked by this service I'm never going back there again. Incidentally this is the dealer I bought the car from a year ago......... really poor service and performance in my book for such a top vehicle.

Ah well - currently looking for another garage to do business with in the Wiltshire area if anyone has any?

Thanks

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver

Hi All,

Been lurking for a little while and thought it was about time I got myself registered and introduced myself!

I've had the vehicle since May last year, a TD6 Vogue. It had a few issues with it when I bought the car but to be fair to the garage I bought it from they sorted them all out. The weirdest issue was the audio being interrupted every 5 seconds. It took some tracking down but was eventually found to be a faulty immobiliser ECU. This was replaced and all is now ok.

In terms of mods/upgrades all that I've done for the moment is to replace the sat nav with the mk4 unit and I've had the window tints replaced on the rear windows and removed from the front windows. The old ones had gone a purple colour in the sun and looked rubbish.

Cheers!
Ozzy

England 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi all,

Been registered a little while and posted a few times but only just occurred to me I should be polite and say "hello" in the appropriate section so................"hello" in the appropriate section Very Happy

Got my 09 TDV8 VSE last June as a replacement for my much loved but unfortunately inadequate Volvo XC90 which I'd had for 8.5 years, I said to the dealer that I was sad to see it go and he said don't worry you'll soon be glad you changed to the Range Rover and guess what.....................he was so right Thumbs Up

Got a low mileage, one owner, full dealer service history, car and it's been absolutely great, I just can't help grinning from ear to ear every time I drive it Bow down and now I know why it's the best car in the world!

So glad I found this site and hope to be around for many more miles Smile
