There are numerous cases of TDV8 failures in Sports but very few in FF. Having had four turbos and an engine replaced on my Sport, the engine after 45000 miles and fourth turbo failure,
There seems to be an issue with V8 shoehorned into a Sport, but I haven't yet come across a similar failure in a FF so opted for one to replace my beloved Sport. Having had an early 4.4 v8 and now a later TDV8, the difference in build is marked but the real world reality is the petrol is a better car from memory. TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!
