That bumper is horrid. I'm glad they don't put that on the Wranglers here.

I do wish they would offer a diesel, though.

I thought of that truck the first time I test drove my L322 (the first RR I was ever in; it is still the only RR I have ever been in). The size, comfort, and presence brought back memories of the Wagoneer.

They were very well appointed for their time. I believe that good examples are still very fine vehicles.

Had this to run around Texas in a few years back but the wheels used to cause it to get very dirty if used in the rain.

The first vehicle I ever wanted as a child was an early Bronco. I am still a big fan of uncut, originals.

Most people cut the rear panels and lift them. Savages!

As for that Hummer , I find it amusing that when GM decided to put the company up for sale the cars were so truly awful that not one single buyer came forward , there are only so many drug dealers/night club owners or stretch limo taxi companies . 2008 MY Supercharged

Yes, horrible cars. The H1 was really the only real one. The rest were simply GM trucks with various dubious bodies on them. Many years ago I got to drive on an off road course at the Toronto Auto Show. The three NEW off raiders available were the new Range Rover LWB, the NAS 90 and the Hummer H1.

I remember liking the 90, really liking the RR and having to move some signage, along with the guide, so we could get the enormously wide Hummer onto the off road course. The width is just crazy. A Hummer is the opposite of a TARDIS - enormous on the outside and very cramped on the inside. Mr. Green

I've been toying with the thought of a slightly modified XJ.

Unibody, nice and light, the diesels run on veggie although im tempted with the 4.0 High output petrols as it would only be an offroad toy Smile

Pretty simple mechanicals as well, just a bit small side thats all but i could live with that.

The WJ isn't that much bigger or heavier but tends to have a lot more toys and is unibody as well and seems more plentiful but has a more thirsty drinking habit but also takes veggie and they also have the V8 powertech engines as well Smile oo and at a certain age the WJ auto box can have an update to give you an an extra gear Smile talk about over engineering lol FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.
