Jeep, Ford Bronco, Etc.

I know you gentlemen have Defenders and Discoveries with diesel engines. There is no need to rub that in. They are not too common in the U.S., and they tend to be expensive as a result.

I am curious what the interest level is, if any, in various generations of Jeep, Ford Broncos, etc. where you live.

I so very nearly (and now heavily regret not) bought a 1983 Ford F-250 with the 460 engine and C6 trans when I was living in Australia.

I was going to import it back to the UK but I chickened out and bought a V8 Land Rover Discovery instead. Stupid, stupid mistake! Censored

I desperately want a 1970's Jeep Cherokee Chief. The looks are enough to make me dribble. Then there's the split tailgate, burbly V8... Embarassed

Or a new 2014 F-150.

The problem right now, possibly, is that my S/C is so damned nice. If that ever starts to go seriously wrong then I think one of the above will be sourced. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

There are all kinds of things I'd like (early-ish SJ Wagoneer, '60s crew-cab Sweptline Power Wagon, '70 El Camino, a Raptor, etc.), but in the UK you'd constantly be rebutting suggestions you were into Country & Western, or line-dancing, or were one of those dressing-up-in-old-clothes-look-at-my-rock'n'roll-tattoos weirdos.

Interesting how the earlier ones now look fairly restrained in light of new stuff.
