22" Alloys Ride Quality

I've heard alot about the road quality of 22" wheels compared to the 18" and 22". I want to go for the full 22", but would settle for a nice set of 20" alloys.

I've heard the 22" alloys made ride quality worse, but i've heard it doesn't make a difference.

I don't go off-road, just general around-the-town travel and motorway occasionally.

What do you guys think? How are your 22" alloys?

What are the best tyres to get for 20" and 22" ?

Are "2853522 TYRES" any good?

Thanks for answering questions! Smile

Yes there worse as they're lower profile tyres.

If you dont go off road then it isnt something to worry about.

Personally as ive had the last few cars that have had low profile tyres i'm used to the quality.

I ike the look of 22's however it isnt liked by the purists. I'm more for bling than getting it muddy Embarassed TDV8 HST Sport **Current**

From my opinion and point of view, I just don't think the L322 looks good on 22" wheels, it was never designed to run wheels that size and so for me, looks weird and out of place.

There are plenty of choices of 20" OEM wheels that look great however, so why not stick with standard, enjoy the better ride quality and know that if you ding a wheel at some point, it will be far easier to replace. Tyres are also easier to source and probably a tad cheaper.

Plus, check with your insurers, they WILL want to know about the fact you are putting wheels on it that the manufacturer has NEVER specified suitable. Discovery 4 HSE

Did you have to notify your insurance at all?
What you pay for them?
