One more quick question if i may? I like the auto correction/auto capitalisation feature on my iPad and just presumed it would be set as default on my new Macbook Pro, is it a selectable feature?

one correction, on mac osx, to make copy paste, is not ctrl + C or Ctrl + V is cmd + C and cmd + V

In mac osX all commands are made by the cmd key like:

close window cmd + w

new file cmd + N

quit from a soft cmd + Q

etc etc Ex-FULLFATTY now downgraded

Sorry for my inaccurate advice. I did a quick google - I don't have a macbook pro myself.

sounds like you need to enable the touchpad/mouse right click -

go to apple > preferences > mouse > "tick" secondary click

assuming it is reasonably recent MacBook Pro

This gives you a nice right click menu like you get on PC's - so Copy, Paste etc etc

For the Auto Correct -

go to apple > preferences > Language & Text > Text > "tick" correct spelling automatically

I bought a top spec mac book pro 18 months ago and hated it as it would just not do what I want it to do with my photos and files so sold on for about £800 less than I paid and got another Windows laptop.

I love my iPhones, ipads and ipods but just could not get on with the MacBook although would possibly have been OK if I wasn't trying to move years of files etc... over to a different system. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
