Yes, the Zero hasn't changed - the 21" wheels come with Verdes (not sure if some also still come with the Goodyear Eagles as well).

Ordered 2 Scorpion zeros went to tyre place and get there nothing like the originals similar but patter far more closed and told they are the new 2013-14 low noise spec tyres. looked at them all the info on the sidewall was the same bar some codes.

They were not Verde i have those on some 21" fine for summer waste of time for anything else.

He has now sourced me 2 from another supplier which are getting fitted today that supplier says there are still quite a few of the old style about but you have to make sure you tell them which spec you want when ordering ?

Could all be BS ? Far to many gone...

Actually not sure, the replacement one I bought new was the same pattern as the 2011 original - I know the central "Z" pattern is/was different between sizes. The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico looks a bit less aggressive with a solid central band. If they have changed, I'd check the date stamps on the ones you're getting.

Will investigate.

According to Pirelli UK, the Scorpion Zero you buy now is exactly the same as the Scorpion Zero you bought two years ago, size-for-size - no tread pattern changes. That's direct from Pirelli just now - no idea how reliable their customer services people are.

I know that when I bought a replacement one about three years ago, "Scorpion Zero" was in italics on the sidewall of the new one, versus the non-italics of the original which dated from 2008, and I seem to remember the tread wasn't exactly the same. The one I bought last year (from memory a few months old at the time according to the date stamp - don't have it in front of me to check) was exactly the same as the mid-2011 original.

I wouldn't rely on random press/promo pictures for what has or hasn't changed.

I was not just posting any old picture Trommel.

The one posted as NEW above is the same as that displayed on the Pirelli.com Website under Scorpion Zero. I would have thought they would get it right and they look very different to the previous tread pattern....

Not sure if the older version is still being supplied though I bought a new set only 2 months ago but there is probably lots of existing stock.

The newer looking ones have something called a "Z" tread pattern which can easily be seen. I guess it is possible that the new version is only available in the USA.

Appreciate that, but as you'll be aware the pictures on the website will be for illustration purposes only etc. I wouldn't rely on them (and nor would I absolutely rely on the information I've just received directly from Pirelli UK). A "Z" has always been in the tread pattern. Definitely no yellow Scorpion on the ones I've bought though.

Somebody take a photo of a "new" one - have only found pictures of 16", 17" and 18" with the single central "Z" so far.

If you follow the Pirelli link that Gary included, the tread pattern shown on the "Tyre Details" tab is different from the tread pattern shown on the "Product Sheet" tab. Don't think the graphics boys at Pirelli have quite sorted their site out yet. 2016 3.0 Vogue

Tread pattern (and one "Z" or two) varies between sizes.

Looks to me that the old pattern always had two Zeds in our sizes and that the new one only has one. Not seen any picture of the new one with two Zeds looks like it would not work with the pattern?

Here is the new pattern in size in 16" and only One Zed in the middle. Its alo being sold by a UK Tyre trader so the new pattern is in the UK.

And another brand new in the UK:

And a worn one (17")

Never seen a 19" or 20" in the smaller-diameter pattern. Pirelli UK said specifically this morning that a 255/55R19 Scorpion Zero supplied new today is exactly the same as the one a 2011 Range Rover TDV8 came with when new.

Did they have the single central "Z", or otherwise different?

Its not just the number of Z's issue its the whole tread pattern/design and Sipes are completely different from one to the other surely. Its not just a matter of size is it?
