England 2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
New Owner 2006MY 4.4 V8 Vogue

Just to introduce myself (hope that this is the right place; if not please feel free to move).

I have just purchased my first Range Rover a 2005 registered (55plate) 2006 model year 4.4 V8 Vogue in Silver with a dark grey leather interior. The RR is a replacement for my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder and will be run alongside my 1993 E32 BMW 730iV8.

I have wanted a RR for years but high annual mileage has made it too much of a risk in the past but now I am down to less than 20K a year I have bitten the bullet and can't wait to pick it up later this week.

I live in Hertfordshire and work in Harlow, Essex but spend approx. 6 months of the year abroad (mostly in Texas) and the middle east.

Hope to be around for a while.

Welcome. Thumbs Up
When you are away for 6 months will the FFRR still be used by someone or will it be sitting waiting on you? Previously..

The 6 months is the total time I am away, normally my trips are less than 2 weeks each so I leave the car with the Valet Parking at Heathrow. My wife won't drive "big" cars or automatics.

Ah, I was wondering as the battery could have been an issue. Still, 2 weeks at a time with the alarm on, sitting at the airport, will be testing on a battery. Previously..

^ Should be fine if in good order. I sometimes have L322's sitting longer than that when I am away for up to 6-weeks and very rarely get a non starter. Hardly ever in fact.
