Ah - good shout on the lumens - nearly ordered them. Poss a bit bright then. Don't want drivers behind coming after me with a blunt instrument !

From Stans link, it looks like 30w clear are the equiv of 50w with amber.

Craig, the front & rear LED indicators bulbs I've used are brighter. The difference on the video I took at night of both old and new side by side on the rear shows that the new is brighter (subtly though) & gives a more even performance.

I believe I have found a bulb suitable. A 20w Cree unit using 4 x 5w Crees.

The seller on the bay does not state a brightness, but I found a seller in Germany who says 500 lumens.

If they are a reputable seller, you could perhaps message them before ordering and explain the year, make and model of car you intend to fit them to and you can ask them if they are not compatible will they refund you, provided you return the bulbs in the condition they were delivered. 3 sellers I've used have all said 'no problem' to such a request and the only bulb I had some issue with was a LED cornering bulb, the casing of which broke when I was installing. The seller replaced it without quibble.

Mark, the top ones look like the wrong pin fitment and the reverse look a bit to long , best measure the length available to be sure..

I've emailed the seller who lists the reversing light bulbs I've ordered as revers lights and the rr is under the compatible vehicles in the ad, so I await their reply, though can't imagine there will be a problem if I need to return them.

Stan, I did note your post about needing offset connection pins, but wanted to check my car first in case the orange/red units were different for some reason. I wanted to check before I actually placed the order anyway.

So, having been out to the car, I have bulbs with straight pins, ie not offset, and looking at the bulb holder, there are lots of cutouts in it, so whilst not knowing for sure, I'd imagine either would work.

Just ordered 2 packs of 2 now, so thats about £75 I have spent on the 6 indicators and reversing lights.

Ahh, loving the idea of the reverse lights would you kindly report back on weather they are any brighter than standard please... ... I am desperate for some brighter replacements for mine (as they are massively duller than the D4 ones in the other car ) and we have a long reverse down our drive in the pitch black!

Don't much care about the colour just the brightness please sir

couldn't find any ref to what type of bulbs [pin wise] yours was Mark and i assumed they were like mine [offset]...good luck mate..

i did put some smd's i my reverse light son my td6 [still thinking they were 501's ] and although brighter they didnt throw any more light ...
