Wrong tyres. Grass/mud combination is probably one of the hardest surfaces to get grip on (even with mud terrain tyres). Just as bad as ice.... Momentum is the key |

I think this illustrates the only real problem with electronic traction control versus manual diff-locks; if all four wheels lose traction and spin at roughly the same rate, the ECU doesn't know that the car has lost grip. ETC only works when 1,2 or 3 wheels have lost traction.

The same thing happened to me when I'd had my FFR about 2 days, just got bogged down in really claggy mud on road tyres, had to call my dad out in his FF to pull me out! Discovery 4 HSE
