Which action operates the rear screen wash? If i push in the button of the right hand stalk, it washes the front screen, if I pull the right stalk towards me it washes the front screen. Other postions operate the rear wiper, but dont operate the rear water jet  No body told me there would be days like these

You should try it - it works!

Might take a couple of goes if the non return valve has broken (caused by freezing in winter) as it has to fill the tube that's the length of the car again. Also if it's not been used in a while the two jets may have blocked.

The whole rear wiper is a shoddy design.
