England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

When I occasionaly drive SWMBO's Fiat 500, I get bullied into moving out of the way from almost everyone.
When I'm in my FF I will give way and give other road users plenty of room as I don't want it injuring.
About 3 years ago I had a 96' Volvo 850 T5 estate which i purchased for a princely £600 and to be fair I moved for no-one.... Guess its Karma.
Had it, loved it!

Thought I'd share an update, I have driven the range all the time during the holidays and must admit I have not had any issues people have been very pleasant have really enjoyed using it. So I thought I would take it to work today and low and behold everyone is all out of Christmas cheer!! So I thought f%#k it I drive it like I stole it, wow those mercedes drivers that flash you when your doing 70 while overtaking a lorry don't like it when the the only words they can see in the rear window are RANGE ROVER, when I asked him in the garage why he thought I should move for him he said " because you should be doing 80 if you want to be in the fast lane" what a prick!! Acts the big man in his car and then threatens to call police when I get out of car to discuss his ignorance. Best part is I completely fell in love with the car I didn't realise the change when you drive it sport mode it's a different animal!!!!

Count yourselves lucking you are not in a Porsche 4x4...everyone hates me, I've never known anything like it! I can guarantee that at least once a week I will encounter road rage and each time I have right of way and I am a courteous driver.

In 4 years and 120,000 miles of FFRR driving, I can only remember one incident of road rage against me, so I know it's not my driving.

Only one thing for it then....live up to expectations!! Current MY2020

As a lead footer, I gotta say I love how people just magically get out of the way from the left lane, and I'm talking like while they're still a dozen or so car lengths ahead of me. People never moved for me in my benz... or jeep for that matter. Of course, I don't think I ever got that Jeep fast enough to make it over to the left lane. 2007 Range Rover Supercharged

I'm going to throw a spanner in the works here. I'm ready to get my head bitten off.
I like Range Rovers, I like the benefits of having one. Which people have touched upon in here. I generally like this forum and have found people in here pretty damn helpful. But.....the thread title I have to agree with somewhat. It's todo with the RR drivers that have the 'I'm better than you' and 'the road belongs to me' attitude because of the stature of their car.

(Don't get me wrong other makes have these people to) but there are a hell of allot of RR's out there.

Just my 2p

And BMW, Audi, Volvo ect ect I could go on BUT its not the cars fault, all cars get a name for them selves, not just RR's, even off roaders the legel ones get slated, Its a sad country we live in. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

There are plenty of Censored out there, but they don't just drive Audis, bmws and Rangeys. Have more problems with antiques driving Toyota Auris, Prius and other small shopping trolleys. I drive a pickup as daily driver and never get driven at. Take the FF out and it's all change. Driven at by a VW transporter on wrong side of road, given the one fingered salute after thanking an on coming driver for letting me through then nearly got Kia Sportage bonnet souvenir in McD's who decided to reverse out of parking space. Think we'll park it up again Whistle Thumbs Up TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.

I've never had any problems when out driving the FF, however last week I had a very "nice" lady who it turns out owns a Prius give me a long lecture in a car park about I was destroying the environment with my car and i should be ashamed of myself. She got very angry when i told her i only do about 3000 miles a year and that her car was probably more damaging to the environment being built than mine.

I've always driven defensively no matter what the car I've owned. In my previous Disco idiots in 4 wheel drive Nissan Jukes and the like used to screw their engines just to get in front of me as if to say "I'm a better 4x4 because I'm quicker"
Now that I have Rangie it's worse. In the UK other drivers can really show their envy by doing everything possible to make your driving day a really Censored one. It never occurs to them that you may own and run your Rangie out of your own pocket because you work hard and prefer your motor to Sky TV, cigs, beer and Premier League season tickets.

However here in Sicily where I am long term, everyone drives like a maniac to put it politely so defensive driving really helps combined with the locals sometimes slowing down to get a look at the car with a steering wheel missing!
