My cars in LR for the weekend and they've given me a freelander 2 courtesy car. When you lock the doors with the remote, the mirrors fold in. Does anyone know if this feature is available on ours? Can it be programmed?

Shouldn't be too hard, this guy uses a microcontroller to reprogam the unused buttons on his steering-wheel.

You'd need to listen on the iBus to find the messages for lock/unlock and fold/unfold then program the microcontroller to send fold when it hears lock on the iBus and vice versa.

These are messages from a BMW key, but they vary a bit from model to model...
00 04 BF 72 22 EB // unlock
00 04 BF 72 12 DB // lock
00 04 BF 72 42 8B // boot

00 is a systemwide broadcast
04 is the length of the message
BF is the destination identifier (LCM in this case)
72 is the key identifier
22/12/42 are the key button signals
EB/DB/8B is the checksum of the message.

Codes starting with 3F were send from a diagnostic system.

The sideview mirrors referred to by 6D and 51 / 9B are the mirror memory modules, but most sites aren't clear on which is left and which is right. A typical mirror message looks like this:

9b 04 51 6d 90 33
9b 04 51 6d a0 03

These are actually codes listed on the x5drivers.co.uk forum in the programming of folding mirrors topic, but as the site is down. I found the codes on google and can't verify them.
