Got a courtesy New AB Sport

Been given a new AB Sport in WAG White with Cream and White Seats today for a couple of weeks.

First impressions are that the car is a million miles better than the last one in terms of quality feel, goes well and rides pretty OK for a Sport.

I will however need to go and get my hair done and get down the gym if I drive this for too long. My local Enterprise had ordered 10 of them all in an identical spec, so we can fully expect lots of used white ones in the market soon. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Unusual to get such a car as a loaner, is that from a main dealer? Discovery 4 HSE

Unfortunately from the insurance company. Not much damage but off the road after someone decided that they needed to rearrange the front of their Audi A6. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Ah ok, understood, I would hope you'd get a decent loaner in that case.

You will enjoy it, it's a nice drive, don't hold any prejudices just cos it's a Sport. I take it you have the 3.0 SDV6? Discovery 4 HSE

Up until this morning I was in an old shape Sport and have to say I disliked it. Looks and the drive I could sort of put up with but the feel of the interior I thought was cheap considering it was one of the runout HSE Luxury cars.

The new one however is a revelation so far and, colour aside, I could imagine owning one. My FF is probably coming up to change time in the next 12 months and it could be a harder decision between a '12 FFRR and a Sport than I would have anticipated.

It is a 3.0SDV6 and that engine is also better than I expected. The only issue so far is the throttle is a bit too sensitive in traffic, but that is something you get used to. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography
