2010 tdv8 L322 electrical reliability

Has anyone had any electronic/electrical issues with the 2010 model RR.?

Does this model suffer anymore or less than the 2007-2009 model?.

I would be extremely grateful for any info.

Happy New Year to everyone. Thumbs Up

Norway 2010 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi Silversurfer,

I bought a 2010MY two months ago. Its a great car, but must admit I have some issues.
Battery fully charged gives only 12,6 volts which results in the car shutting down some of the electrical accessories like the RSE, reverse camera. In addition the alternator gives up to 17,5 volts which hardly can be any good for the battery.
The aux heater doesn't work either, I guess this is due to the battery issue.

I have told the dealer to straighten this out since its still under warranty. Range Rover TdV8 Autobiography MY2010

It sounds to me to be an internal voltage regulator malfunction in the alternator causing the battery to heat up thus boiling over .

That's the only thing that I can think off. I'm only guessing

I have no doubt all will be revealed in due course from the dealer. At least it's under warranty.

If the system over charges it is due to the fluctuating condition of the battery as the Ecu/canbus controls charging rates. Been through this with mine and battery goes flat in days if parked up. New battery resolved all the issues and back to charging within sensible voltage of 14.4 v TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!

I have a tdv8 MY 2010 - its my 3rd FF and i've had it 7 months now without any problems at all.

My other two were trouble free also apart from a battery.

Ive also owned a sport, Twisted Evil which again was trouble free!
