Hi, I am interested in feedback from anyone here, particularly those FFRR owners with the S/C model say 2007-2009 range for the suitability in WA. Currently I have a Disco 3 V8 HSE and it's great in WA conditions, but I wondered if anyone with direct experience can comment. Particularly heat related matters and longevity under hot conditions. I am used to and expect some items to fail (with the D3 this happens) but not necessarily heat related failures.

Is the Supercharging system reliable, coolers and pumps etc.

I have only been here for six months so far so I can't really say very much but absolutely no issues so far and S/C do create a quite startling amount of heat if you are used to desiesels . I am though really starting to appreciate the 11kw air con
One thing I will say though is that the S/C engine is widely regarded as bomb proof as long as you don't around with it . 2008 MY Supercharged

Ok, thanks for that Axle. I had read the same re the S/C. A Rimini red is quite a rare colour too, but would be nice I'm sure.

I bought mine in the UK to bring with me when we moved and it has a few toy's on it that are hard to find in Oz and Rimini Red is quite rare in the UK but really good at hiding red dust 2008 MY Supercharged

When its 40℃ and you have been for a drive , when you get out of the car even at that heat you can feel the whole car radiate heat. Nothing that would seam dangerous but the whole thing is quite warm .
Obviously I never drove my TD6 here but I'm just saying you are always aware that the engine is a hot pice of metal. 2008 MY Supercharged

Thanks axle, the reason I asked is because I always have that sense when walking round the SC after it's been for a run, even in this colder climate. Hot metal and the smell of it is a very good description. I've often wondered if the smell indicated a leak of fluid onto hot components or whether it was binding brakes or a problem with the radiator or the like. I'm now accepting of the fact that it's simply a big engined petrol powered vehicle.
