Mine goes off road but that's normally towing either a trailer full of firewood across fields or my caravan. But I drive a bobtailed disco1 for off road trials ( and that does get muddy) |

Stan, I assume one of those was Salisbury, yes? Well, since doing that one (where I too picked up a few scratches) I learned a technique for avoiding some of them. Pallet wrap mate, like domestic clingfilm but shed loads tougher. Stands up to all but the toughest brambles. I bought a couple of rolls off the bay and it's saved me loads of work tidying up. As for the mud. Pressure washer, lots of patience, a shortened nozzle and some scruffy clothes. You can get into the nooks and crannies in much the same way as you can have a vasectomy without anaesthetic. It is painful though. |

thats the place Dom, i was a bit to enthusiastic going through the water and not knowing the water had fine shingle in it, hence the paint damage...
