Hello all,

I am a new member of this forum (but a long-standing member, though not prolific poster, on the D3 forum).

I have recently bought an 08 registration Vogue SE to replace the D3 and have noted the following niggle. When using the volume buttons on the steering wheel, the search/scan functions are activated. The search scan buttons are very close to the volume buttons, but I have ensured that the problem does not lie with me catching these as I operate the volume buttons.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I suspect it could be a warranty issue requiring a new switch??

mine doesn't do this - so yes would assume its a fault,

If you are saying that when you adjust the volume, the search scan function happens too, then yes, this is an issue. You've got plenty of warranty, use as much as you can!

It sounds like a visit to the local dealer is required

In the meantime, I will struggle on, without complaint , by straining every muscle and sinew to reach (yes REACH ) over to the volume knob to make my adjustments.

Still got the D3

Until i return it to LR finance who wanted £6k more for the GFV payment than it was worth .

I had the manual D3, so still getting used to the auto.

The biggest difference is the additional toys that come with the FFRR and of course the exra power of the engine .

Still, at least the steering wheel buttons on the D3 worked !!

Early days yet, but FFRR seems a bit more wallowy when turning out of 'T' junctions. But you don't expect these cars to corner on rails!

Niggles aside, I can sum up the RR in two words: "me like"

No, the GFV payment that was due exceeded the market value of the car by this amount, so it was a no brainer to give it back.

If this is one example of a MGFV with a £6k shortfall then this is very bad news for LR Finance, the Car Industry and Mr Man on the Street as a whole.

Bit of a thicko here chaps what is GFV , MGFV , never heard of it .............
