Hello All, As i posted in another thread i have bought a front end damaged 54 plate and I am replacing the damage parts with 2010 facelift. Today i got my headlamp support delivered and new wing mounting brackets. The headlamp/bumper bracket is straight forward but the end brackets are a little confusing, As I didnt take the car apart its a little harder to picture. Has anyone got a picture of these fitted ? Also behind the grill there are two wiring plugs hanging from the slam panel, any idea? last but not least I have offered up the 2010 front bumper and it doesnt seem too far away with my crash bar is there a specific reason to fit the later one as the 2010 fogs are below it, Sorry for the long post. The wing-to-bumper mounting brackets are not a straightforward fit on to the earlier wings, also, I assume you have realised you need to cut the flange off the forewardmost edge also? Or fit 2006 onwards wings.....
Can't think of any plugs that hang off the slam panel? There's a big plug with 50 amp cables that runs along the bumper support - this is the connector for a winch if one is fitted. Theres another little plug that goes to an external temp sensor - this runs from the n/s headlight hole to the centre of the grille, along the bumper mount bar. The twin horns have two plugs, but are mounted on the o/s end of the bumper armature, the wires come out of the loom low down under the o/s headlight.

Many thanks for the reply paneldamage, I will try and get a pic up of the two plugs the temp sensor is there also the horns, I know about wing alteration as I have fitted a wing to replace a damaged one and the new one is facelift. I can see how the end brackets support the bumper but do they fit to the outer or inner wings ? its just a little hard to picture with the outer wings still on I will maybe get a clearer picture with wings off. The brackets fit on to threaded bosses on the inside face of the outer wing....

Hi again, well the bumper mounts explained themselves when I got a look at the back of the wings, thanks for that.
Here are a couple of pictures of the two wiring plugs hanging behind the grill, I hate it when your following someone else who has stripped the car before you !!

Your car had Acc Spot Lights fitted... Hence the plugs to no-where

You should have a switch inside with a pic of a light and x2 (probably under the air suspension panel) if so, that is part of the kit (turns off the facility in fog etc etc)

Maybe he had spots.

Can't remember seeing them.

is the second pic the temperature sensor cable or are both cables for spots.. ... - .- -.

Thanks for the replys. Aux lights would never have crossed my mind im about to look on google images as I cant picture a FF with extra lights. I think its safe to say I would never have guessed what they were for ! Stan the temp sensor is just out of view in pic. Thanks again for all replies as a new owner undertaking a facelift im sure I will be back soon,lol.

Ahhhh Craig it makes sense now I have seen them before. There are two steel plate brackets on the crash bar bolted on with stainless bolts are these the lamp mounting brackets ?

You will also find a couple of plugs - one each side for crash sensors - well I did anyways on my 2007 s/c when repairing it , these go into the sensors which are in the headlight support bracket.

doh just realised they will not be on the earlier cars (I think) so don't worry if yours are missing

Its the strip the bumper fits to on an early model... Bin it pal as you have replaced it with the long plastic 2009> front cross member in your picture
