Supercharged Range rover Gearbox

Hi, I purchased a FF supercharged range rover recently, I'm guessing this had the 6 speed box in it? My question is wether to have a oil and filter change on done on the auto box? One of my previous RR a 04 td6 had to have a new gearbox at 80,000 miles.

Thanks The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.

Yes will be the 6 speed.

It is the same gearbox as on the tdv8 pretty much, so same principals apply, recommended change is at 100k, but if the gearbox has been used heavily or for towing then 60k is preferable.

So yes it is advisable to swap the fluid, personally wouldnt go the megaflush route but would buy the parts and fluids from dan and get your local md to do it. Mine charged me an hours labour.

The valve block in the 6hp26 is much more robust than the one in the td6. It is very important to get the correct fluid, either zf longlife 6 or the gen lr fluid. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Spoke to my local independent land rover garage today and got it booked it for a flush and oil and filter. It may have been done before but for small outlay I think it's worth the piece of mind.

Thanks for the input The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.
