Speedy

If you have rear screens then you can use the Aux socket at the back of the centre console.

Will that allow you to control the ipod from the front screen? I didn't think it did? Discovery 4 HSE

(assuming it's the same on a MY07)

the aux in will not allow you to control from the touchscreen - the only realistic way of doing this is via an ipod integration kit etc - and that replaces your Cd changer with playlists from the IPOD (ie you can have 6 playlists taking the place of 6 CD's)

I have been using a plug in charger kit that has a little control on top of the bit that plugs into the power socket (with the IPOD being in the central cubby store) and a long cable to the aux in. More recently however I have burnt some MP3 CD's - each of which have 6/7 worth of music CD's. This way I have about 40 albums in my CD player, each of which are searchable from the toucsreen and my IPOD backing it all up in case I want to listen to somethig more obscure.

Realistically I only listen to a dozen or so recent CD's anyway so this works really well for me. The searching by album is a lot less labourious than if you use playlists (from what I can gather) and I still have both CD player and IPOD aux in.

Before finding out how well MP3 CD's worked (for me) I seriously considered getting the integration kit - wouldn't do so now.

I found this earlier, not sure if it's compatible with the touchscreen or if it's just pre-touchscreen only?

Forget using the 2010MY integration and expecting it to actually CHARGE the player - LR claim it's not a requirement. Twits. Land Rover Addict
