So guess which car I drove to work today?

My open top rear wheel drive sports car that weights 900kg, or my Range Rover sitting on new Vredestein Wintrac Extremes?

That's right - I checked the weather forcast before and did the sensible thing. Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head

There was a dinner at a restaurant over looking Lake Zurich. I missed the cable car so drove up instead, not realising it was snowing - quite heavily. Narrow, twisty and steep. I had to leave the car about 1km from the restaurant and wondered if it'd be findable when I got back but fortunately it didn't snow much during dinner.

The VX isn't made for snow. It is on winter tyres but even so it's just crap.

its just too light for the width of wheels in the snow. If you could fit some skinny 145's to it then it would likely have been a bit better, but feel your pain!

im looking at some studded tyres to go on some spare rims i have for the XM at the moment should the weather get that bad as i doubt plod would know round here other than maybe asking for a lift lol FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The fronts are 185, rears 205 (the summer tyres are much wider), but it floats over everything and looses steerage over bumps and ruts. Traction isn't that bad with the rear engine. I think even with narrower tyres it wouldn't be great. It is also quite low, so can't deal with snow over a certain depth.
