I would try turning it off. Horribly echoey anyway.

You cannot turn DSP off. You can only turn the equaliser settings off. The DSP examples, are not great, so setting yourself manually will do wonders.

I would check the pins on the connections for the DSP. It might be almost broke, and as you are driving, it could be turning off. Although, you said you can still hear sound?

If you can, open it up, make sure the cables are connected.

What's the system you can turn off then. Thought it was the digital sound? I had one that was very echoey like in a church and just turned it off and then it sounded great....

There are preset modes you can enable (like hall, church, small room) etc or you can turn them off (I think they are called demo modes) and set your own equalizer settings and remove echo etc....

You can also turn the settings off I believe which effectively gives a "flat" mode. I would guess however that the sound still goes through the dsp so may not solve the issue if it's bad connections.

I'll have another look at the connectors tomorrow. Ash

Still pretty sure I turned it off completely on a 2003 I had in recently. I ghave not got one to check at the moment.... It was an option on one of the first screens: DSP Off

Yes, dsp off, but the dsp is more than just a digital sound processor. It also acts as an amp. When you turn it, you ate just turning off the preset equalizer.

Yes I thought I was not going nuts. Mine was all church like then turned the DSP off and everything sounded great.

Try "wiggling" the front small multi-plug on the DSP whilst the radio is on and see what happens.

@ Comports, did you ever get to the bottom of the DSP fault? Did you get it repaired or did you replace and then all was well? If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Nope - not got any further with it. Kept meaning to but not had time. I just have to keep turing it off and on again and all is good (for a while)

I will take out the amp and send to Baris at some point for a repair to see if that solves it. Ash

Ah ok, I too have to keep turning it back on, most times the screen on the stereo has frozen and wont even be able to go into the computer or sat nav and at worse wont change mode, ie radio to cd player!

The dealer I bought the FF from said he has had a few problems with his old BMW with same set up and was something to do with wiring loom behind the ignition switch? He's making more inquires with his Land rover workshop guy, about the FF so time will only tell if he gets this sorted. If it dont work.......burn it!
