Starting procedure

Just curious how others start their FFRRs. Do you (1) push the butting and hold it down until the engine starts or (2) push the button so that the electrics power up and then push the button a second time to start the engine?

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

Put key in and wait for lock out to click off , turn key to position 1 and watch all the lights come on when the once that go out ( can't remember which once ) have gone off I flick the key to position 2 and straight back and the engine will turn until it starts.
I have always done this because I don't like starting until all the computers have woken up and talked to each other. 2008 MY Supercharged

As the post above

when I first got her - I just keyed it straight over but this was bringing in 'limited gear available' eventually sussed it was due to not letting the brains all talk to each other , never had the same alarm since adopting the more relaxed start up procedure
