Thanks for looking. Shame about that. I tend to know if it's cold and like many others get scared to death by the very loud 'bong' shortly after driving off. . If anyone figures out how to turn it off let us know.

It seems the older versions have the option on the IID tool to switch off the low temperature warning but 2007 on don't That's progress. Maybe the guys at GAP will take a look but I guess it's not there cos LR took it out of the CCF for 'elf and safety'.  2012 5.0L S/C

I was going to make a joke that as I live in Texas I probably would never get to see this warning bong, but sure enough this morning I got it for it being 37°F (3°C) out. Anyone know why they feel the need to warn us about the temperature? 2007 Range Rover Supercharged

I have a friend in Houston who tells me just how warm it is already it's sickening!

Seriously it could be just to warn that the car faces overheating or in my case possible hazardous conditions under tyre. Does seem a feature they've added to make your trousers brown though.

This will be new for Texans I'm sure When the water (rain) gets below 0C, it tends to go white and get VERY slippery. The warning is to remind you that the brakes may not act in the manner you expect and that you should slow down and be careful.

(This is something most drivers on the West Coast have yet to master.)

Which to be fair Stan I understand. Why waste money having loads of equipment for maybe twice a year. Seems pointless. I think we get an unnecessary hard time for the way we deal with snow. I'm also unsure why people still need to travel into work though when office based. Surely the days of suits is dead. It's why the hs2 is such a bad idea!

I agree on that - why have equipment tied up for the few days of the year we may need it. In Toronto where I lived for a couple of years if it snowed the streets would often be cleared by morning as they are geared up for it and have all the kit because they know they need it.

We live in rural West Wales and if it does snow you won't see a gritter or plow out anywhere near the village lanes for several days. Everyone knows the rules - if you have a NCAP rated 5 star eurobox you stay at home, if you have a 4x4 and know how to use it, then you help the neighbours out getting their groceries. For some reason near where I work in Reading people seem to ignore the fact its snowing until they get stuck and then blame everyone else for not warning them it snowed/will snow/could snow/gritting the road/plowing the road/fitting their winter tyres for them...................

But getting back on point.
