Interesting, but have a feeling that an FFRR would go up there on slicks Twisted Evil .

Thanks Andy
do you do 20 inch wheel & tyre sets, or just the tyres?
Either way, would you mind sending a PM with prices?
Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Epsom Green

I stuck my new Vreds (255/55R19) on before the weekend as we were running an Off road and recovery weekend course at a site that is mainly chalk and when it gets wet its like ice. Well it was very wet on Saturday and one of the guys who has been driving LR's off road for 30+ years couldn't get his disco 2 on AT's up a hill but I cruised up it in the RR with the winters on. Not sure I would have made it with the MT/R's I have in the garage to be honest at that point.

Others did eventually make it up but they all had to take a huge run up at it and power up it where I just 'pooled' up it. Current: RR L322 2010
Past: RR L405 2017, RR L322 2012, 2008 & 2004, 2018 D5, 2016 Defender, 2011 D4, a few Disco2s, P38, RR Classic, couple of Disco1's, SIII SWB

Interesting video, and it clearly shows that winter tyres are the best option.

It would be interested to see the test with a vehicle which actually has permanent 4 wheel drive rather than the power transfer when the front wheels loose grip. I would also like to see how ATR's would compare, I suspect they would perform well and the only real difference would be in emergency breaking 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Even so, it's good for people to know what a big difference winter tyres make.
