Most miles out of a tank of fuel

Every time I fill the tank, I zero the trip.

My last tank, I got 497 miles before refilling. It still had 20 miles of range left according to the OBC.

My record in the old 4.2 S/C was 400 miles, with the dreaded "---" showing for range for the last 5 miles or so. Most tanks didn't get beyond 350.

What's your best?

When I got my 05MY TD6 back in Oct 2012, it had a red light on the dash for the fuel low light...filled it up straight off and it took 99.16 litres. Now I do about 600 miles per week and fill it full every time..average fill-up is 87-90 litres.
I've run it to the red light (25 mile warning on the dash) a few times and then filled up and it's taken about 90 litres, so there's obviously a big safety margin in there.

Just another reason I love my FF!!

460 miles with 6 miles left on computer. It took 97 litres to fill it. That was close enough to empty for me.

Did 700 two weeks ago with a small trailer on the back and had 30 left on the trip computer when I finally bottled it.

90% motorway miles at 65 - 70 mph and a couple of traffic jams thrown in for good measure.

620 miles in summer, about 75% motorway driving. I don't have a heavy right foot, nice and steady and can easily average over 30mpg!!!!

@DMRR - are you in South Africa?

hows your FFRR holding up? I am looking for a FFRR tdv8 but thus far the few I saw did not really convince me to spend the money to buy it as it was either unprepared for sale or the dealerships just did not care.

However I am still looking to upgrade - will most probably have to buy a 4.2 SC of which there are more available.

A most miles out of a tank - what is that?
