It looks all wrong in my opinion. Somehow, theyve made a colour that doesnt go with silver, making the wheels and grill look odd??

Different but not for me. There are a lot of colours i see on cars which i think yes i like that especially some blues and on supercars yellow and orange but i would always spend my own money on Black or Silver generally.
Sensible head always comes out as some colours date the car later

No, this is Vesuvius Orange, a limited edition colour created for the First Edition Range Rover Sport Supercharged back in 2005. Only a few hundred were done and you rarely see them these days.

It's a marmite colour, in the flesh they look better than in pictures but I wouldn't want a FFRR in it.

The G4 colour is called Tangiers Orange as below:
